To the front of the cottage is a patio / barbeque area with a raised-bed kitchen herb garden for the cooks amongst you. The cottage garden is mostly lawn with access to a larger lawn area for badminton, croquet, ball sports or picnics.
Barr Cottage also boasts a wonderful array of garden and woodland birds. We are occasionally visited by red squirrels and pine martins and there are buzzards, eagles, otters and deer in the forests and lochans around the farm.
There is ample parking for cars and space for a boat/trailer; we also have secure storage available for your mountain bikes and / or kayaks leaving your car clutter-free for day trips.
